 ed in the five years since Berlin-based Swedish bassist Petter Eldh presen
 ted his quintet Koma Saxo for the first time on our main stage in Saalfeld
 en. The electrifying energy of the acoustic ensemble has now developed via
  a reincarnation called “Koma West” into the “culmination of Eldh's sound 
 study\, as the band-info describes it. “Post Koma”\, which is “dynamite” a
 ccording to allaboutjazz\, presents vocalist Sofia Jernberg\, pianist and 
 keyboardist Kaja Draksler and drummer Lukas König alongside Eldh’s longtim
 e Saxo-companion Jonas Kullhammar. All of this has little to do with a “de
 ep state of prolonged unconsciousness'\, but rather with a “music vision t
 hat never second-guesses throwing tasty hooks and everlasting melodies out
  the window after a mere bite of them'.
